Presidency of Defense Industries head Gorgun attends NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum

Haluk Gorgun, head of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), highlighted that Türkiye’s defense industry infrastructure, developed through significant sacrifices influenced by geography and historical lessons, is now fully prepared to meet the needs of both Türkiye and its allies.

In a social media post, Gorgun announced their participation in the NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum, representing the Turkish Defense Industry at the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.

Gorgun emphasized that they continue to hold important meetings and discussions at the summit, which aims to strengthen NATO’s deterrence and defense: “We consider these meetings and forums, which will create significant opportunities further to strengthen the capabilities of our country and our allies, to be very important.

Due to the influence of our geography and the historical lessons we have learned over the years, our defense industry infrastructure, built with numerous sacrifices, is now ready to meet the needs of our country and our allies. Our defense industry workforce offers a unique opportunity for NATO in terms of both quality and cost.”

Gorgun emphasized Türkiye’s status as a “great and respected” member of NATO, saying, “We are strengthening Türkiye’s rising star, our defense industry, to maintain its presence in the most strategic points in the strongest way.” I hope that the summit will bring positive outcomes for humanity, especially for our country.”
