In celebration of Democracy and National Unity Day on July 15, passengers in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir can enjoy free transportation on metro and rail services throughout the entire day. This news was announced in a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette.

The free service applies to specific lines:

  • Baskentray in Ankara
  • Marmaray in Istanbul
  • IZBAN in Izmir
  • Sirkeci-Kazlicesme Rail System Line in Istanbul
  • Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutkoy Metro Line in Istanbul

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed this decision to commemorate Democracy and National Unity Day. The initiative aims to facilitate movement for residents and visitors alike.
