Italian SWM Motor, operating under the Chinese automotive giant Shineray Group, has completed its applications to commence production in Türkiye.

According to a statement from ATMO Group, the representative of SWM Motor in Türkiye, the company has identified the Turkish market, which it entered at the end of 2023, as a key component of its global growth strategy.

In alignment with this strategy, SWM Motor has applied to manufacture in Türkiye, marking a significant step in ATMO Group’s aggressive growth trajectory.

Upon entering the Turkish market, SWM Motor introduced Turkish consumers to the G01, G01F, G03F, and the electric light commercial X30L EV models. In June, SWM Motor Türkiye further expanded its product lineup with the new D-SUV model, the G05.

‘We are committed to invest in Türkiye’

ATMO Group CEO Anton Chernov highlighted the high interest in the brand in Türkiye, stating: “As ATMO Group, we are committed to investing in Türkiye and developing more projects. Our workforce in Türkiye has doubled compared to last year. Our revenue continues to grow annually, and we have a long-term development plan in place. We are currently working on establishing a manufacturing facility with an annual production capacity of over 50,000 vehicles. This facility will cater to the Turkish market and focus on exports to Balkan countries and other EU markets.”

‘Türkiye offers high potential’

Chernov also mentioned the impact of recent regulatory changes, which have prompted the company to review its business model to include local production options.

“Türkiye offers high potential for long-term business development. We have built a professional and robust dealer network, and new partners continue to join us,” he added.
