The Turkish national football team loses 2-1 to the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals and bids farewell to the tournament. However, young star Arda Guler, who appeared in the match, made history with his performance.

The Netherlands defeated the Turkish national football team 2-1 at the Berlin Olympic Stadium, resulting in their exit from the tournament at the quarterfinal stage.

The national team had taken a 1-0 lead in the first half through a goal from Samet Akaydin but ultimately lost after conceding two goals.

Following this defeat, the national team bid farewell to the tournament at the quarterfinal stage.

Historic performance by Arda Guler

In the match against the Netherlands, Guler, who plays for the Spanish club Real Madrid, achieved a historic milestone.

He provided the assist for Samet Akaydin’s goal and became the 4th player under the age of 21 to record more than one assist in the history of the European Championships.
