Bella Hadid quits modeling after being threatened for supporting Palestine
The development comes after the famous brand Dior replaced Hadid, who identifies herself as Palestinian, with Israeli model May Tager
Bella Hadid, a celebrated Hollywood model with millions of followers on social media, decided to quit her modeling career after she received death threats for her constant support of Palestine and for raising her voice against Israel’s brutalities in the ongoing war that began on Oct.7.
The development came up after the famous brand Dior replaced Hadid, who identifies herself as Palestinian, with Israeli model May Tager.
“Even if my career stops, I will never stop supporting Palestine. I am not afraid of losing modeling jobs and I will continue to speak out about Palestine. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is the new Hitler,” Hadid said on social media.
Sharing that she faced death threats because of her continuous support for Palestine, Hadid reiterated her stance on the Palestinians’ cause: “I receive death threats daily. My phone number has been exposed, putting my family in jeopardy. I refuse to stay silent any longer.”
