Türkiye’s TEI engine successfully completes durability tests for Gokbey helicopter
TAI Engine Industries (TEI) announced through its official X account that the engine developed under the auspices of the Presidency of Defense Industries, TEI-TS1400, successfully completed 15 consecutive durability tests of six hours each under the EASA CS-E 740 requirements.
The statement states that these tests further improved the TEI-TS1400’s performance, highlighting the engine’s final power limits in the context of emergency single-engine helicopter landing scenarios.
The national engine underwent hundreds of hours of rigorous testing before and after its maiden flight, achieving a power level of 1740 horsepower.
The same test was repeated a second time with successful results.
The results of this historic test highlight the crucial role of the TEI-TS1400 engine in the performance of the Gokbey helicopter.
The engine has demonstrated its ability to deliver sufficient power even in the most demanding conditions for the helicopter.
