Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov arrived in Ankara on Tuesday for a two-day official visit to Türkiye.
After concluding his engagements in Kahramanmaras, a southeastern province of Türkiye, he touched down at Esenboga Airport in the capital at 1:40 p.m. local time (10:40 a.m. GMT).
Asadov was welcomed by Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz in Ankara on Wednesday. Following his participation in several meetings in Türkiye, he will depart for Azerbaijan.
Asadov visited the Kahramanmaras province on Tuesday to inspect the progress of construction in the “Azerbaijani quarter.” This initiative stems from President Ilham Aliyev’s directive, aimed at aiding the province following a devastating earthquake that struck Türkiye on Feb. 6, 2023.
In accordance with the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement inked in Nakhchivan on Sept. 25, 2023, Azerbaijan allocated $100 million to realize this project.
Sadig Sadigov, chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Housing Development Agency, provided Asadov with a comprehensive update on the ongoing construction efforts within the designated project area.
The Azerbaijani prime minister issued pertinent directives to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the construction endeavors.
