AK Party spokesperson denies cracks in People’s Alliance

Omer Celik, spokesperson of the ruling AK Party, has denied allegations of cracks within the People’s Alliance.
Speaking on the Turkish news channel Haberturk, Celik responded to journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s questions by stating, “Both parties have different characters. Since July 15, we have been tested repeatedly and have come through together. Our parties remain united in their vision for the ‘Türkiye Century.'”
Referring to President Erdogan’s meeting with main opposition leader Ozgur Ozel, Celik made the following statement:
Türkiye needs to be able to sit down and talk in a certain political courtesy. Why hasn’t it been done until now? Believe me, if the previous ones had asked for an appointment, it would have been given. There is no action plan here, no package program in quotes. Let’s focus on Türkiye’s issues and produce common sense.

Referring to allegations that the AK Party will form an alliance with the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), Omer Celik dismissed these claims. He stated, “Our alliance is called the People’s Alliance. There is no change in its qualities and principles. The CHP has not said, ‘I agree with the People’s Alliance, I give up what I said.'”
