A delegation consisting of the general and officers of the Bangladesh National Defense College visits the Ozdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center
A delegation consisting of the general and officers of the Bangladesh National Defense College visited the Ozdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center on Thursday.
The Bangladesh delegation met with Baykar Chairman of the Board and Chief Technology Officer Selcuk Bayraktar.
“A delegation of the National Defense College of Bangladesh, including the Commandant-General and officers, visited the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center. It was our pleasure to host them,” a post on Baykar’s social media account said.
Turkish defence equipment in Bangladesh
Baykar signed a contract with Bangladesh in July 2022 for the supply of TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV), which started operating in Bangladesh in December 2023.
The Bangladesh Army’s reliance on Turkish defense industry products extends beyond the Bayraktar TB2 UCAV. The army’s inventory includes a range of Turkish-made equipment, including the TIGER missile system, Otokar Cobra TTZA armored vehicles, and TRG-230 rifles, all of which are actively utilized by the army.
