A Palestinian elder on his way to Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque couldn’t hold back his tears when he saw a TRT reporter saying, “Turkey is our last hope.”

While performing Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, a Palestinian kissed a TRT Haber reporter on the forehead, saying, “Our hope is Turkiye; send greetings to Erdogan.”

A Palestinian performing Friday prayers at one of the holiest places for Muslims, Al-Aqsa Mosque, kissed a TRT Haber reporter on the forehead upon seeing him, and prayed for Turkiye and President Erdogan. The elderly man said, “They are destroying us. You are our hope. I kiss the foreheads of every Turk. Send my greetings to Recep Tayyip Erdogan.” Reporter Mucahit Aydemir was visibly moved by the gesture.

Drones and aircraft attack

The Israeli army launched simultaneous intensive attacks on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp, al-Bureij Refugee Camp in Deir al-Balah, and the al-Maghazi Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip. The occupying army, attacking with warplanes, tanks, and drones, martyred at least 210 Palestinians, wounding 400. The death toll in Gaza, where Israel has been attacking for 246 days, has risen to 36,801. U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan made a controversial statement. Sullivan declared the rescue of four Israeli hostages from the attack that killed 210 Palestinian civilians in Gaza a “successful operation” and expressed his support for it. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also announced that he gave the order to hit the refugee camp without hesitation, adding, “We are determined to continue this in the future; we will not stop.”

Hamas declared that the attack also claimed the lives of some Israeli captives. Ismail Haniyeh, Head of the Hamas Political Bureau, stated, “The Palestinian people will not surrender, and the resistance forces will continue to defend the rights of Palestinians against Israel.” Haniyeh noted that the world has failed to end the “war of extermination” that the Palestinian people are subjected to and called for the “Islamic Ummah to rise up.”
