Turkish Day Parade and a panel discussion on ‘Strengthening Cultural Ties: A New Vision for Turkish-American Relations’ panel discussion to be held in the U.S.

The 41st Turkish Day Parade in New York, organized by the Presidential Communications Directorate, will take place on May 17-18.

This annual event, first established in 1981 in response to the martyrdom of Turkish diplomats by the Armenian terrorist organization ASALA, has since become a tradition, symbolizing solidarity and remembrance.

Additionally, a conference titled “Strengthening Cultural Ties: A New Vision in Turkish-American Relations” will be held at the Turkish House (Turk Evi) on the same day. 

The panel, which will include Turkish and American academics and representatives of nongovernmental organizations, will focus on the cultural aspects of relations between the two countries. It will also discuss the state of Türkiye-U.S. relations in recent years and the future of relations in a cultural context.

An exhibition titled “Türkiye’s Century” will also be organized at the Turkish House. The exhibition will explain Türkiye’s achievements over the past 100 years with three-dimensional shows on special digital giant screens.

Special games and entertainment for children will also be organized. The Turkish Day Parade will also take place on May 18.

The Turkish Day Parade in New York will begin at Madison Avenue and 38th Street and conclude at Madison Square Park. Along the route, the military band ” mehter” from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will perform Ottoman Turkish music.

The event will also feature concerts, shows, and significant participation from thousands of people, making it a prominent event for the Turkish-American community in the U.S.
