U.S. strikes 10 Houthi drones, 3 Iranian drones

The US claims to have struck up to ten unmanned drones, a Houthi anti-ship missile, and three Iranian drones

A U.S. official claimed late on Wednesday that the United States had struck up to ten unmanned drones in Yemen that were getting ready to take off amid rising tensions from the Gaza conflict extending throughout the region.

In the Gulf of Aden, a U.S. Navy ship also downed a Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile and three Iranian drones, according to a statement from the Central Command of the U.S. military. It stated that no damage or injuries had been reported.

Controlling the most populated areas of Yemen, the Houthi militants, who are aligned with Iran, have been launching exploding drones and missiles at commercial vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in recent weeks, claiming that this is a reaction to Israel’s military actions in Gaza and a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
