US authorities call for retaliation following Iran-backed attack on American soldiers in Syria
American authorities call for a serious retaliation against Iran, resulting from the latest drone attack to the US soldiers
In the aftermath of the recent attack on the Jordan-Syria border by Iran-backed militants that claimed the lives of three U.S. service members and left 30 others injured, many American authorities responded to the attack, some of them asking for a serious retaliation against Iran.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) stated, “Joe Biden emboldened Iran for years by tolerating attacks on our troops, bribing the ayatollahs with billions of dollars, and appeasing them to no end. He left our troops as sitting ducks, and now three are dead and dozens wounded, sadly as I’ve predicted would happen for months. The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran’s terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East. Anything less will confirm Joe Biden as a coward unworthy of being commander-in-chief.”
The senator expressed condolences on behalf of Arkansans, extending sympathy to the families of the fallen warriors. He concluded, “May God comfort them as He welcomes their loved ones into His embrace. And may God quickly and completely heal their wounded comrades.”
Senator Roger Wicker (R- Mississippi) on X, urged a purposeful and resolute response, directly to the Iranian leadership, for the tragic loss of American service members’ lives and injuries sustained by many others
We must respond to these repeated attacks by Iran & its proxies by striking directly against Iranian targets & its leadership. The Biden administration's responses thus far have only invited more attacks. It is time to act swiftly and decisively for the whole world to see. (2/2)

The attack has intensified discussions in Washington about the U.S. approach to Iran and its implications for the safety of American troops deployed in the region. The Biden administration has yet to respond to Senator Cotton’s call for military retaliation.
