Türkiye denies claims of sending 6 planes full of weapons to Pakistan

Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications Center for Countering Disinformation has denied allegations that six planes carrying weapons were sent from Türkiye to Pakistan.
In a statement shared on its social media account, the Turkish authorities clarified the situation, saying, “The claims circulating in some media outlets that ‘Türkiye sent six planes full of weapons to Pakistan’ are not true.”
According to the statement, a transport aircraft departing from Türkiye made a scheduled landing in Pakistan solely for refueling purposes. “After refueling, the aircraft continued its journey along its designated route,” the authorities noted.
The center urged the public to rely only on statements from authorized persons and institutions, warning against believing speculative reports.

Context behind the claims
The clarification came after reports in certain media outlets alleged that Türkiye had transported large quantities of weapons to Pakistan amid regional tensions with India.
The authorities stressed that such claims were baseless and not grounded in official facts.
