Türkiye’s Roof Stacks to launch mythology-inspired action game on global stage

A local technology company in Türkiye is gearing up to enter the global gaming market with a new digital action-adventure game inspired by Turkish mythology.
Founded in 2015, Roof Stacks has already made a name for itself in finance, gaming, digital publishing, and infrastructure technologies. Now, the firm is preparing to debut its latest creation, a video game titled Olpamis, which is expected to launch soon on major online platforms.
The project aims to introduce cultural heritage with a universal narrative, bringing Turkish roots to a global audience through immersive storytelling and gameplay.
Targeting world’s leading gaming platforms
Burak Soylu, founder of Roof Stacks, spoke to Anadolu Agency about the two-year-long development process of Olpamis, emphasizing the evolving landscape of the gaming world.
“Today, the era of buying games on CDs has ended. Everything is moving online,” said Soylu. Highlighting the significance of Steam, one of the world’s largest online game distribution platforms, Soylu added, “We are creating a game in the metroidvania genre, which is considered one of the most challenging categories on Steam. We have set our sights on being part of Steam’s professional gaming ecosystem.”
Soylu underlined that cultural representation would be at the heart of Olpamis. “Our main character is a wolf, symbolizing a story built on the principles of brotherhood and unity. We believe we can reflect our national sentiments and sensitivities to the world through this game,” he said.

Global release plans and major gaming events
According to Soylu, Olpamis is set to launch on Steam in November this year, with a full multi-platform release scheduled for June 2026.
Roof Stacks made its first public presentation of Olpamis at the seventh Productivity and Technology Fair in Ankara. Looking ahead, the company will also present the game internationally, beginning with an event in Hamburg, Germany.
Ambitious goals in Web3 and Fintech
Soylu also outlined Roof Stacks’ broader ambitions in the tech sector. “Our goal is to sell three million copies of Olpamis and achieve $100 million in revenue,” he stated confidently.
He revealed that the company is aiming to create not one but two “Turcorns”—the term for Turkish companies reaching a valuation of over $1 billion—particularly in the fields of Web3 and Fintech technologies.
Building a new gaming ecosystem in Türkiye
Commenting on the gaming industry in Türkiye, Soylu noted that national institutions are making significant efforts to nurture the sector.
“In my view, true success is not just selling a game for a billion dollars but building a game company worth a billion dollars,” Soylu said. “We are working to establish an environment where Türkiye can become a global leader in game development. We are not trying to release a new game every month; we are focused on establishing a strong, sustainable presence in the global gaming world.”
