Benfica defeated AVS 6-0 in the 31st round of the Portuguese League, securing three points in their title race.

The match, held at Estadio da Luz, saw Turkish internationals Kerem Akturkoglu and Orkun Kökçü start for Benfica. Kerem Akturkoglu finished the match with 1 goal and 1 assist.

The goals for Benfica came from Araujo in the 8th minute, Pavlidis in the 23rd, Zeki Amdouni in the 26th, Kerem Akturkoglu in the 40th, Belotti in the 71st, and Otamendi in the 82nd.

With this result, Benfica moved to the top of the league with 75 points, having one match in hand. AVS remains in the relegation zone with 24 points.
