Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar of making false claims, stating that Bar did not warn him about the outbreak of war and that he had never requested a delay in his trial on Sunday, according to Al Jazeera.

Netanyahu also said that Ronen Bar bears significant responsibility for the failure to prevent the October 7 massacre.

He criticized the security chief for not alerting state institutions in time, claiming instead that Bar had allowed them to fall into a state of inaction.

Furthermore, Netanyahu emphasized that Bar had failed to wake him on the morning of October 7 and did not fulfill his duties as head of Israel’s internal security agency.
