A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Istanbul on Friday, with its epicenter located in the Buyukcekmece district, according to Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

According to AFAD, the tremor occurred 17.82 kilometers from Istanbul’s Buyukcekmece district at a depth of 7.01 kilometers (4.4 miles).

There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties, and authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

This follows a powerful 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Istanbul on Wednesday, injuring at least 236 people in panic-driven incidents, said officials. The epicenter was in Istanbul’s Silivri district, according to the AFAD.
