Intelligence chief meets Hamas delegation to discuss Gaza humanitarian crisis

Ibrahim Kalin, head of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT), met with a Hamas delegation led by Muhammad Ismail Darwish, chairman of the Hamas Shura Council, to discuss the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza under Israeli blockade.
According to Turkish security sources, the meeting focused on potential measures to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the coordination of international efforts addressing the ongoing crisis.

Addressing Israeli blockade and efforts for cease-fire
During the meeting, Kalin and the Hamas delegation evaluated the latest developments in the ongoing efforts aimed at securing a lasting and comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza.
They also discussed the impact of the Israeli blockade, which has led to severe humanitarian consequences for civilians in the region.
The talks also addressed the importance of forming a united stance against any planned displacement of the Gaza population. The participants underlined the need for collective opposition to all forced relocation policies.

In the discussions, Türkiye reportedly reaffirmed its continued support for the people of Gaza, emphasizing that it will stand by them despite Israeli attacks on civilians and policies causing starvation and displacement.
