Man United offers $64M for Arda Guler as Real Madrid considers sale

Turkish wunderkind Arda Guler has reportedly asked to leave Real Madrid after struggling to secure consistent playing time in his debut season with the Spanish giants.
The 19-year-old Turkish international’s situation has sparked a flurry of interest across the Premier League, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Villa all closely monitoring developments.
According to Turkish media, Guler has communicated his desire to move on multiple occasions. While Real Madrid had initially resisted the idea of a transfer, the club is now said to be open to letting the midfielder leave, recognizing his need for more minutes to continue his development.

Manchester United have emerged as frontrunners, reportedly preparing a €60 million ($64 million) offer for Real Madrid’s young talent.
Arsenal is also in the mix, with reports indicating they have submitted a €40 million bid.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have officially confirmed their interest. Speaking to Marca, the club’s sporting director, Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo—better known as Monchi—said they are “closely following” Guler and are “well aware of his talent and potential.”
A move away from Madrid could also result in a financial boost for Fenerbahce. The Turkish club secured a 20% sell-on clause when Guler transferred to Los Blancos.
If a €60 million transfer materializes, Fenerbahce would earn at least €10 million from the deal.
Guler, who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, has found it difficult to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup, despite high expectations and flashes of his creative brilliance.
As the summer transfer window approaches, his future is one of the most intriguing storylines in European football.
