Galatasaray is making a powerful push to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell. The club is reportedly exploring every financial avenue to retain the high-profile forward.

At the same time, the future of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi remains a point of focus. While Italian media has speculated that Icardi may leave the club, Galatasaray management has made its stance clear.

According to Turkish media, Icardi has begun individual training sessions and shared updates via social media. Despite suffering a season-ending ACL injury, the 32-year-old is expected to return in time for the club’s summer training camp.

Reliable option amid Osimhen uncertainty

Club officials reportedly believe that if Osimhen departs, Icardi is the ideal candidate to fill the gap. Management considers him their “first big transfer” for the upcoming season.

Since joining Galatasaray, Icardi has scored 61 goals and provided 22 assists in 87 appearances, underlining his value to the team.
