Türkiye vows to help Bosnia, Herzegovina overcome current crisis

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to maintaining stability in the Balkans and preserving Bosnia and Herzegovina’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and constitutional order during a Saturday meeting with members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Council.

The meeting, held as part of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, included Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Council Chair and Serb member Zeljka Cvijanovic, Croat member Zeljko Komsic, and Bosniak member Denis Becirovic, according to a statement from Türkiye’s Presidential Communications Directorate.

Bilateral relations between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed, alongside regional and global issues.

President Erdogan stated that Türkiye expects the current crisis to be overcome with minimal damage and hopes for a broad-based consensus with participation from all segments of society.

He stressed the importance of preventing the recurrence of past sufferings in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Erdogan also reaffirmed that Türkiye’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina would continue.
