Swedish police cordoned off a street in Malmo, southern Sweden, on Friday after discovering a suspected dangerous object, prompting the deployment of a bomb squad to assess the situation.

Police urged nearby residents to stay indoors, advising them to avoid windows and balconies. The national bomb squad arrived at the scene to investigate the object.

“The first assumption is that it is a couple of objects that we consider dangerous,” a police spokesperson said, according to Reuters.
