Trabzonspor, having made history in the UEFA Youth League, is now focused on its upcoming semifinal match in Switzerland.

After defeating Juventus in the Round of 32, Atalanta in the Round of 16, and the Italian powerhouse Inter in the quarterfinals, Trabzonspor will face Austria’s Salzburg in the semifinals.

The match is scheduled for April 25, at the Colovray Sports Centre in Nyon, Switzerland, which has a capacity of just 1,000 spectators. However, Trabzonspor’s management has reached out to UEFA to request a change of venue due to the limited size of the stadium.

‘This stadium is too small’

In their previous match against Inter, played in Trabzon, 40,000 fans attended, setting a record for a youth match, as reported by the British newspaper The Sun.

Referring to this memorable event, Trabzonspor’s management has asked that the match against Salzburg be played in a stadium with at least 10,000 seats. UEFA is expected to respond to this request soon.

If Trabzonspor defeats Salzburg, they will face the winner of the AZ Alkmaar vs Barcelona match in the final, scheduled for April 28, at the same venue.
