China's Xi supports $3M aid to UNRWA for independent Palestine

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced they would donate $3 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), stating, “We support the establishment of a fully independent Palestinian state.”

Jinping also expressed expectations for fulfilling Palestine’s full membership request at the U.N.

Speaking at the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, President Xi focused on Israel’s massacres in Gaza, saying: “The attacks on Gaza cannot continue indefinitely,” emphasizing a two-state solution.

$3M aid to UNRWA

The Chinese President announced that their country will contribute $3 million as urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Support for establishment of fully independent Palestine

China expressed support for the establishment of a fully sovereign, independent Palestinian state and endorsed Palestinians’ request for full membership in the United Nations.
