As expectations rise for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, startling claims regarding its price have surfaced. The cost of Apple’s first flexible-screen device is expected to be around $2,300, which would be double the price of its current top-tier models.

This forecast, shared by Barclays analyst Tim Long, points to an unusually high price range for Apple products. According to information gathered from hardware suppliers in Asia, the foldable iPhone is expected to be launched between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027.

Price to consider for Turkish consumers

Considering that other foldable devices are priced around $1,800, Apple’s pricing might seem somewhat high. Given the taxes added to technology products, the price of the foldable iPhone is anticipated to range between 150,000 and 200,000 Turkish liras ($4,000 – $5,300) in Türkiye.

However, if Apple manages to deliver a crease-free display design, it could convince iPhone enthusiasts to invest in this device, despite its premium price.

New technical features on foldable iPhone

The foldable iPhone will feature a 7.8-inch internal screen and a 5.5-inch external screen. It is expected to have a dual rear camera setup and a single front camera, with the possibility of replacing Face ID with a Touch ID power button.

The device is also expected to come with a high-capacity battery and a crease-free display. When open, the device is expected to be 4.5mm thick, and when closed, it will likely be around 9 to 9.5mm thick.

The external part is expected to be made of titanium, while the hinge will likely be a mix of titanium and stainless steel.

Mass production of the foldable iPhone is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. However, it’s important to note that these prices are merely estimates and the final price could be influenced by market conditions, material costs, and production processes.
