Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu announced that 3 individuals severely injured in a fire in the city of Kocani, North Macedonia, will be transferred for treatment to Basaksehir Cam and Sakura City Hospital via a Ministry of Health ambulance plane.

In a statement shared on social media, Memisoglu expressed his sorrow upon learning of the fatalities and injuries caused by the fire in Kocani, North Macedonia.

After official communications, immediate action was taken, Memisoglu emphasized.

To treat the three critically injured individuals, we are transferring them to Basaksehir Cam and Sakura City Hospital using our Ministry’s ambulance plane. Their treatment will continue in the largest burn center in Europe, which is located within our city hospital. Should the need arise, we will continue transferring additional patients for treatment. Guided by our motto ‘Human, First and Foremost Human,’ we stand by the people of the Balkans. I pray for the swift recovery of the injured and extend my condolences to the people of North Macedonia.
