Maxar, a commercial satellite imaging company, confirmed it is restricting Ukraine’s access to U.S. government-shared satellite imagery.

This action follows Trump’s decision to indefinitely pause military aid to Ukraine, leaving its access to American weaponry uncertain. This development marks a significant shift in U.S. policy toward Ukraine under President Donald Trump, with potentially severe consequences for Ukraine’s defense against Russia.

Experts warn that the move will hinder Ukraine’s drone operations, deep strike capabilities, and intelligence gathering on Russian forces.

Analysts predict a significant weakening of Ukraine’s ability to track Russian military movements, target supply lines, and assess Russian stockpiles.

With the U.S. providing nearly $66 billion in military aid to Ukraine since 2022, this freeze and the imagery block represent a major policy reversal. The decision raises questions about the future of U.S. support for Ukraine and its ability to continue resisting Russian forces effectively.
