'Oppenheimer' leads 2024 Oscars with most nominations

The nominees for the 96th Academy Awards, scheduled for 2024, have been announced, with ‘Oppenheimer’ emerging as the film with the highest number of nominations

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer”, based on the life of the U.S. physicist topped the list with 13 nominations at the 96th annual Academy Awards held annually in the U.S.

“Barbie”, which was overshadowed by Oppenheimer in many awards despite breaking summer box office records, was nominated in eight categories.

The fantasy film “Poor Things” starring Emma Stone received 11 nominations and Martin Scorsese’s drama “Killers of the Flower Moon” followed Oppenheimer with 10 nominations.
