Israel blocks aid to Gaza, far-right Ben Gvir calls to ‘open gates of hell’

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed that Israel has blocked all goods and humanitarian aid from entering Gaza after the first phase of the ceasefire deal ended.
This decision came after Hamas refused to extend the ceasefire and coincided with the beginning of Ramadan.
Far-right Israeli ministers, including former National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, have expressed support for the move, with Ben Gvir calling to “open the gates of hell” and resume military operations until all hostages are returned.
The blocking of humanitarian aid intensifies the already critical humanitarian situation in Gaza, where over two million people are affected.
The decision follows the collapse of a ceasefire agreement that had included provisions for a phased hostage release.
While Israeli officials view the move as a necessary step to pressure Hamas, critics argue it violates the ceasefire terms and exacerbates the humanitarian crisis.
