Fenerbahce questions referee’s neutrality ahead of Galatasaray-Kasimpasa match

Turkish football giant Fenerbahce‘s board member, Fethi Pekin, has made a notable statement regarding referee Cihat Aydin, who will officiate the Galatasaray-Kasimpasa match.
In an official statement published on Fenerbahce’s website, Pekin raised concerns about the referee’s impartiality, questioning whether he can manage the game fairly given past incidents.
With these statements, Pekin fueled the match-fixing allegations against Galatarasay once again.
A referee who recently attended a seminar using the nickname ‘En Buyuk Galatasaray’ (‘The Greatest Galatasaray’) is set to officiate Galatasaray’s match in the 26th week of the Super Lig.
With this in mind, we ask the public:
Can a referee, whose club allegiance has been publicly exposed, truly officiate tomorrow’s match with neutrality?
Is this a fair situation?
Would such a case be acceptable in any other league in the world?
Furthermore, former Galatasaray player Ryan Babel’s recent revelation—where he stated, ‘Referees helped us secure three points’—has caused an uproar. What do the so-called advocates of justice at this club have to say about this?
In a climate where even a referee who has officiated a Champions League final is heavily scrutinized, we present these questions to the public, solely based on the facts.
