Fenerbahce to face Rangers in UEFA Europa League Round of 16

Fenerbahce advanced to the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League after defeating Anderlecht 3-0 at home and 2-2 away in the play-off round.

Following the draw on Feb. 21, 2025, the Turkish side will face Rangers in the next round.

Rangers, one of Scotland’s top football clubs, plays at Ibrox Stadium. The club finished in eighth place in the Europa League group stage with 14 points.

Rangers’ squad is valued at €77.25 million ($80.88 million), according to football news website Transfermarkt. With an average age of 25.6 years, Rangers is currently in second place in the Scottish Premiership under manager Philippe Clement.

Turkish player Ridvan Yilmaz, who transferred from Besiktas to Rangers in 2022, will compete against Fenerbahce in this matchup.

The 23-year-old has appeared in 21 matches for Rangers this season, recording one assist. Yilmaz’s performance is being closely followed by Turkish fans ahead of the clash with Fenerbahce.
