Türkiye apprehends 144 irregular migrants in nationwide inspections

Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 144 irregular migrants were apprehended during simultaneous inspections conducted in 27 metropolitan cities.

In a statement shared on social media, Yerlikaya stated that identity checks were carried out on 8,322 individuals using 96 mobile migration checkpoints during the operations.

He confirmed that the 144 irregular migrants identified during the inspections were transferred to repatriation centers. Yerlikaya also commended the teams involved in the operation.
