Ukraine has restricted access to Truth Social, the social media platform owned by U.S. President Donald Trump, multiple users across the country reported Thursday.

Ukrainian users attempting to visit the platform are encountering a geographic restriction message stating, “Truth Social is currently unavailable in your region.”

However, Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi dismissed the claims on X.

“We have seen reports suggesting that access to the Truth Social network has been blocked in Ukraine. These reports are false,” he wrote. “Ukraine did not and could not block access because, unfortunately, the social network Truth Social has never made itself available to users in Ukraine.”

Tykhyi said Truth Social’s operations are currently limited to select countries, including the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia and a few others — with Ukraine on that list.

“We would appreciate it if Truth Social would add Ukraine to their authorized region of operations,” he added.

The apparent blocking follows controversial comments made by Trump on the platform Wednesday, where he described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a “modestly successful comedian” and “dictator.”

The timing of the restriction suggests a possible connection to Trump’s remarks, though neither the Ukrainian government nor Truth Social has officially addressed the situation. Kyiv has maintained silence regarding the platform’s sudden inaccessibility within its borders.
