French military forces are being expelled from Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger after power changes, while it’s reported that Rwanda has extended its defense cooperation agreement with France until 2025.
The Rwandan military announced in a written statement that they had reviewed the defense cooperation agreement with France and signed a new roadmap extending the collaboration until 2025.
Details regarding the scope and specifics of the collaboration were not disclosed.
Following power changes in African countries such as Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, French forces have been expelled. Senegal’s Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, has criticized the presence of French forces stationed in his country.
