MIT’s efforts against terrorist threats
The agency stated that its counterterrorism efforts led to the identification and apprehension of multiple members of radical organizations. “As part of the ongoing fight against radical groups, numerous operatives have been identified, and attack plans have been thwarted,” the report noted.
Alongside these counterterrorism operations, MIT also reported that “attack plots targeting Türkiye’s non-Muslim citizens, linked to Israel‘s military actions in Palestine and across the Middle East, were neutralized.” Turkish authorities use the term “neutralize” to imply that the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
This statement was included in the foreword of the report, authored by MIT head Ibrahim Kalin.
