In a significant move that underscores the growing luxury aviation market in Türkiye, Acibadem Healthcare Group Chairman Mehmet Ali Aydinlar has purchased the country’s most expensive and technologically advanced private jet, the Gulfstream G700.
The aircraft, valued at $79 million, is set for delivery in the final quarter of this year and will join Aydinlar’s fleet alongside his existing Gulfstream G650, which he acquired during the pandemic period.
The G700 stands out as Türkiye’s most prestigious business aircraft, featuring unprecedented luxury amenities and advanced technological capabilities.
The jet accommodates up to 19 passengers and boasts 20 panoramic windows, setting new standards for private aviation comfort. Its cabin spans 17.35 meters in length and provides sleeping arrangements for 13 passengers.
Powered by twin Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the aircraft achieves a maximum speed of 956 kilometers per hour and boasts an impressive range of 13,890 kilometers (8630.8 miles).
The G700’s sophisticated Honeywell cockpit and fly-by-wire controls represent the cutting edge of aviation technology.
This acquisition comes amid broader developments in Türkiye’s private aviation sector, which currently hosts over 200 business jets across various categories. The sector operates through 43 air taxi enterprises and 100 general aviation organizations, though exact numbers remain difficult to verify as many aircraft are registered internationally.
The Turkish private aviation landscape has seen other notable acquisitions recently. Rahmi Koc recently added the new Falcon 6X to the Setair fleet, while Limak Holding’s chairman Nihat Ozdemir is scheduled to receive his own Falcon 6X by year’s end, following delivery delays attributed to COVID-19-related supply chain disruptions.
