Cities with the sharpest decline in gold holdings
On the other end of the spectrum, Sirnak recorded the most significant drop in per capita gold holdings.
In 2023, residents of Sirnak held 0.75 grams per capita, but this figure fell to 0.65 grams in 2024—a decline of 11.57%.
Similarly, Sanliurfa saw a decrease of 6.57%, making it the second city with the highest drop in per capita gold reserves.
These declines suggest that residents in these regions may have liquidated their gold holdings at higher rates than in other parts of the country.
