U.S. President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order Thursday imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing the body of unfairly targeting the United States and Israel, NBC News reported.

The order will enforce financial sanctions and visa restrictions against unidentified ICC officials and their families who are found to have participated in investigations involving U.S. citizens or its allies.

During his first term, Trump declared that the ICC holds “no jurisdiction, no legitimacy, and no authority” over the U.S.

In November, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its military actions in the enclave.
