Protests over delayed election results in Pakistan’s North Waziristan turned violent, resulting in the deaths of three police officers and injuries to NDM leader Muhsin Davar

Three police officers lost their lives and National Democratic Movement Party (NDM) leader Muhsin Davar was injured during a protest in Pakistan’s North Waziristan region amid delayed election results.

Davar and his supporters gathered in thMiranshah, North Waziristan, to protest the delayed announcement of election results.

Clashes during a protest in Pakistan’s North Waziristan region led to the death of three police officers and injured Davar by gunfire.

In a demonstration held yesterday in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to protest against the election results, two people lost their lives and numerous others were injured.

The voting process for the Pakistan National Assembly and provincial assemblies, which will serve a five-year legislative term in the country, began at 8 a.m. local time on Feb. 8 and concluded at 5 p.m.
