Bodo/Glimt donates all match revenue from win over Maccabi Tel Aviv to Gaza relief
Norwegian football club Bodo/Glimt announced that the revenue from their 3-1 victory over Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv in the UEFA Europa League match on January 23 was donated to aid efforts in Gaza.
The match, held at Aspmyra Stadium in the town of Bodo, Norway, with a capacity of 8,270 spectators, generated 735,000 Norwegian Kroner (approximately $65,000), which was donated to the Red Cross for humanitarian work in the Gaza Strip.
The decision to donate the match’s revenue to Gaza emphasizes the impact of international solidarity.

Emphasizing freedom of expression, the statement continued, “Through Action Now, we are committed to contributing to actions that bring pride far beyond the football field. Now we want to show that our words are backed by action. We are donating all ticket revenue from our home match against Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Red Cross, and it will be used in humanitarian work in Gaza. The total amount is 735,000 Norwegian Kroner, and it is a donation from all of us.”
