Keeper Fernando Muslera makes history with 429th Super League appearance
Galatasaray’s experienced goalkeeper Fernando Muslera will make history by becoming the player with the most appearances in the club’s history in the upcoming Super League match against Konyaspor in the 21st week on Saturday.
By playing in this match, Muslera will make his 429th appearance in the Turkish league, surpassing the legendary captain Bulent Korkmaz’s previous record.
Having guarded the goal for Galatasaray since 2011, the 38-year-old Uruguayan goalkeeper has cemented his place in the club’s history.

Fernando Muslera, who transferred to Galatasaray from the Italian club Lazio, has built a remarkable career over his 14 seasons with the yellow-reds. Having played in 534 official matches so far, Muslera will play his 429th Super Lig match against Konyaspor, breaking the record for most league appearances held by Galatasaray’s iconic captain Bulent Korkmaz, who made 428 league appearances between 1987 to 2005.
This achievement also makes Muslera the league’s top foreign player with the most Super Lig appearances in Galatasaray’s history.
