San Antonio Spurs’ player Victor Wembanyama became the first rookie in 34 years to make triple-double in Toronto Raptors match

In the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Toronto Raptors 122-99, claiming their 11th-season victory.

Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama finished the match with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks and became the first rookie player to score a triple with a block after David Robinson in 1990.

Robinson, Ralph Sampson, and Mark Eaton are the only other rookies in NBA history to record a triple-double with blocked shots, with Robinson accomplishing this three times in the 1989-90 season, Sampson in the 1983-84 season and Eaton in the 1982-83 season.

San Antonio Spurs, in last place in the NBA Western Conference, defeated Toronto Raptors on the road.

Hakeem Olajuwon holds the record for the most seasons leading the NBA in blocked shots, achieving this feat a total of 11 times throughout his career.
