The Israeli attacks in Gaza have led to the complete destruction of the Yeryuzu Doktorlari, severely impacting healthcare services

The Yeryuzu Doktorlari (Doctors Worldwide Türkiye) clinic in Gaza City, which has been operational since 2015, was completely demolished during the ongoing Israeli assaults that began on Oct.7, 2023.

This development has significantly impacted the region’s healthcare services, as the organization reported.

The clinic had been vacant since the start of the Israeli attacks and was a central healthcare provider in Gaza City. Despite its destruction, Yeryuzu Doktorlari continues to offer medical assistance in southern Gaza, primarily operating out of Kuwait Hospital.

The organization has managed the dwindling medical and consumable supplies in Gaza by ensuring continuous delivery of medical and aid materials from Egypt via the Rafah Border Crossing.

The organization has reached over 113,000 Gazans since the onset of the attacks, providing essential supplies such as medicines, hygiene kits, primary food items, and baby and patient diapers.

In the wake of the recent attacks, Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure has been severely affected. Approximately 30 hospitals, 53 health centers, and 150 healthcare facilities, including 122 ambulances, are currently non-operational.

Eyewitness reports to Anadolu Agency (AA) reveal that Israeli forces have encircled Nasir Hospital in Khan Yunus, demanding evacuation, mainly targeting displaced Palestinians sheltering there. Witnesses describe the deployment of “Quadcopter” type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by Israeli forces, leading to challenges for health teams in aiding the numerous injured and deceased around the hospital.

The situation at Nasir Hospital is rapidly deteriorating toward a “disaster,” as per the Gaza Health Ministry, with the health staff, patients and their relatives under significant threat.

Additionally, the hospital’s emergency section remains submerged under sewage water, hindering the functioning of health teams and signaling an impending health catastrophe because of the accumulation of waste.
