Football legend Eric Cantona condemns Israeli attack on Gaza camp
French football legend Eric Cantona, one of the most influential figures in world football, didn’t stay silent about the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
Cantona, 58, expressed his outrage over the attack on the camp where displaced Palestinians in Rafah reside, condemning Israel’s actions.
“Is there still anyone who does not consider it genocide?”
Taking to his social media, Cantona asked: “Do you still protect these animals? Is there anyone left who doesn’t condemn these criminals? Are countries still arming these criminals? Is there anyone left who doesn’t call this genocide? Is there anyone left who doesn’t shed tears in the face of such horror?”
The Israeli military’s attack on the tents of displaced Palestinians in Rafah last Sunday, following the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) decision to halt the attacks, resulted in the loss of at least 45 Palestinian lives.
