Turkish State Railways (TCDD) announced new ticket prices for the Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train for 2025.
New price adjustments, with a 44% increase rate for Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train tickets, were announced on Sunday and came into effect the same day.
In a written statement, “Dear passengers, as of Jan. 13, 2025, the ticket tariffs for high-speed, mainline, and regional trains have been updated with a rate below inflation and revaluation rates. With this update, we will continue to offer our valued passengers economical and comfortable travel opportunities while constantly improving the quality of our services,” TCDD stated.

Additional services announced Ankara-Istanbul train
Additionally, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced on Monday that eight additional high-speed train services will be provided during the mid-term school holiday period from Jan. 18 to Feb. 2.
These extra services will include 3,288 additional seats on the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line and 29,130 additional seats on mainline and regional trains.
Providing details on the train schedules, Uraloglu said, “The additional trains departing from Ankara will leave at 09:40 a.m. and arrive at Istanbul-Sogutlucesme at 2:06 p.m. Meanwhile, the additional trains departing from Istanbul-Sogutlucesme to Ankara will leave at 6:00 p.m. and arrive in Ankara at 10:38 p.m.”
