Top 10 happiest cities of Türkiye in 2024, according to research

Türkiye’s Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released its latest report on the country’s happiest cities, ranking Sinop as the city with the highest level of happiness. According to the data, Sinop, a coastal city located on the Black Sea, topped the list with a reported happiness rate of 77.66%.

Following Sinop, Afyonkarahisar, situated in the central part of Türkiye, ranked second with a happiness rate of 76.43%. Bayburt, located in the northeast, secured third place with a 75.91% happiness rate.

TUIK’s survey identified the top ten happiest cities in the country, based on their happiness rates. These are:

1. Sinop – 77.66% happiness rate

Located on the Black Sea coast, Sinop is one of Türkiye’s oldest cities, known for its scenic harbor, pristine beaches, and rich history.
